SF is over?! 🤣
a year ago i was sitting in a @cruise in this level of traffic wondering if we would be able to navigate it. the answer was yes. today it is a regular occurrence
I can’t count the times I’ve been told that AVs will *never* be able to handle certain situations.
How about taking a passenger through North Beach on St. Patrick’s day?
Absolutely wild. Thanks to this driverless @Cruise AV (named Twin Peaks) for the clip.

took us 15 months, but we finally hit 1M driverless miles!
.@cruise hit 1,000,000 driverless miles!
That’s 40 trips around the planet, with nobody behind the wheel.
The fun thing about the rapid scaling we're doing is that that 1M miles will seem *tiny* by the end of this year. So excited to get more people in AVs!

Fun Fact: naming of our AVs started when an intern at Cruise named the first ones "Scarlet" and "Quicksilver" so that we could easily tell them apart. previously they were something like AV1 and AV2.
today we name every AV to help humanize an otherwise humanless experience
