Hey @twitter, so sports are a pretty big deal here. It's in the moment, people are passionate about it, and want to experience it together. Here's a cool idea on how bring people together for conversation around it. Introducing: ๐Ÿ€โœจ Gametime โœจ๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ”ฝ THREAD ๐Ÿ”ฝ

Still often think about how good the design direction was for Virgil x Nikeโ€™s โ€œThe Tenโ€ campaign (2017)

Youโ€™re building a new app. You have a choice to assemble a team of 5 people give them access to any AI tools of their choice. You can only choose one:
50% 5 Product Designers AI
50% 5 Engineers AI
0% 5 PMs AI

This is correct. But i suspect this integration is less about doing this in the ChatGPT app vs building the rails for the imminent OpenAI device.
This is why it sucks and AI replacing UI and apps makes no sense The order flow of using the Starbucks app (19 seconds) vs ChatGPT (103 seconds)

I honestly couldn't care less if you use a pencil and paper to "design" or AGI. the only thing that matters is what you're shipping at the end. you're either building a product or fiddling with tools. so far there's been a lot of conversation about fiddling with tools and not a lot about the quality and purpose of product being shipped.

few. so very few.
TIL Steve Jobs decided to use glass for the first iPhone *after* announcing it and noticing his plastic screen was scratched. He convinced @Corning to resurrect an invention they made in the 1960โ€™s, convert a factory, and produce millions of screens in a few months.

The underrated side effect of constantly writing prompts is the mental training. Prompts force you to articulate your thoughts โ†’ which makes you a better writer โ†’ a deeper thinker โ†’ and ultimately a better prompt writer.

The only image that Instagram has ever been about is your image.

โ€œwe can fly as close to the sun as we want nowโ€ - me describing claude code to a normie

people misunderstand the icarus story. the problem was not that he flew too high. it's that the wings were made of beeswax, which offered very little resistance to heating. with modern materials he would have had no problems. we can fly as close to the sun as we want now

Yes but this is not why. I believe the popularity of Nostalgia today is because the art, aesthetics, music, movies, and pop culture of the near past were actually better and higher quality than anything today or perhaps in the near future. AI will only make this more apparent.

The reason weโ€™re seeing a resurgence in Pokรฉmon and 90s era collectibles is simple. People that grew up then finally are at a point in their careers where they have disposable income. Expect parabolic increases.
