I just published a new article for anyone who keeps hearing about Bedrock and SageMaker and isn't quite sure what they are or where to start. If you know someone just starting their AI journey, feel free to share! 🥰 linkedin.com/posts/suzanamel…

Super excited to announce the Spring AI Amazon Bedrock AgentCore 1.0 release! This release makes it super easy to deploy Java / Kotlin Spring AI agents on AWS. You can also use AgentCore Memory, Code Interpreter, and Browser either with your agents on AgentCore Runtime or running wherever you want (EKS for example). Huge thank you to all the amazing work by my colleagues: @maschnetwork, @mmeckes, Yuriy Bezsonov, Andrei Shakirin, & Muhammad Hamza Usmani aws.amazon.com/blogs/machine…

For two decades, S3 has been an object store, but today it's something broader. S3 Files lets you mount any bucket as a filesystem—no copies, no sync scripts, no choosing between file and object. @andywarfield tells the full story, including the "filerectories" that almost made the cut. allthingsdistributed.com/202…

Built a macOS dictation app in a day. One month later: 19 releases, a CLI tool, a new ML model, and a lot of lessons about sandboxing, hotkey APIs, and building in public. Wrote about it 👇 stormacq.com/2026/03/30/one-…

You can't optimize what you can't measure. Carbon and cost are the similar signal. The new AWS Sustainability console puts emissions data in the right hands, without exposing billing data. Measure it like it matters. aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/ann…

I am looking for a new role following a company-wide downsizing. I’ve spent the last 4 years as Head of Developer Relations at Appwrite, and it gave me more career and personal growth than any other role I’ve had. They truly pushed me to my full potential, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. I’m proud of everything we accomplished. It’s been an amazing run! I recently read Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl, and now this is one of my favorite books. If you haven’t read it, you really should. It’s about finding purpose, even in the most difficult circumstances. With both of my kids heading off to college in the next couple of years, I’ve been thinking a lot about what drives me. For me, it’s meaningful work. Waking up each day to build, contribute, create value, and make an impact is what motivates me. I’m looking for a Developer Relations role as a: * Founding team member * Senior / Staff * Head of / Director / VP If you’re building in tech, especially AI, and need someone to own the bridge between product and community, I’d love to connect. If you know of a strong fit, I’d appreciate any leads or introductions.

Excellent work indeed: tokio.rs/blog/2026-03-18-dia…

At AWS we're big Rust users. Lambda, DSQL, S3, EC2, Bedrock, and many more run Rust code. Dial9 is a new tool, built at AWS, for diving deep into the performance of tokio-based applications. Good work, Russel!
