ATS keyword filtering isn't screening. It's elimination theatre.
The candidate who wrote "talent acquisition" instead of "recruitment" got filtered out. The one who keyword-stuffed from 40 job specs got through.
You haven't narrowed the field. You've narrowed it arbitrarily.

everyone's using AI for everything but half these tools are overkill.
for indie devs:
- code: cursor (worth it)
- errors: jinx ($9 vs sentry's $29)
- write: just use claude
- brainstorm: chatgpt free tier
the rest? probably don't need them yet.

Hooks can now run in the background without blocking Claude Code's execution. Just add async: true to your hook config.
Great for logging, notifications, or any side-effect that shouldn't slow things down.
