It helps us to ensure that DataLad still does all the things you like, less of the things you don't like, and some more awesome stuff.
Thanks!
one of the best discoveries for my workflow this year was @datalad: a tool to download brain data in a crazy convenient way (if you are used to git).
from finding a new dataset to procrast... exploratory analysis 😬 in a few minutes. datalad.org
Feel it’s challenging to analyze a large neuroimaging dataset in a reproducible way? Check out our latest preprint of BABS! BABS is a user-friendly and generalizable Python package📦for reproducible image processing at scale. doi.org/10.1101/2023.08.16.5… 🧵 1/n
We now have a record in the @helmholtz_de Software Directory: helmholtz.software/software/…
This is a great place to get a quick overview on how people use DataLad, and what resources are available.
If you find something missing, or have a testimonial, please drop us a note! Thanks
Thanks to the 60 people who, over the last week, expressed their interest in a first conference on decentralized data management, DataLad, and git-annex!
The meeting will take place April 18-20 next year in Düsseldorf, Germany!
We started planning a first meeting for everyone interested in DataLad and git-annex in the first half of 2024! If you find that as exhilarating as we do, head over to forms.gle/Fc14HK1Ter9ue7dR7 and help us shape the event. Exciting!!
We already know a few more things:
- we are aiming for a (hybrid) meeting
- we will invite contributions on research data management, but also non-research application topics
- we will have a dedicated component on DataLad/git-annex development, including a hackathon day
@DANDIarchive will be there for sure! ;-) Meanwhile, everyone can enjoy DataLad datasets for all the dandisets in the DANDI archive: github.com/dandisets . It will be great to share solutions and ideas around decentralized version control of scientific data at the event!

📢Call to present at INCF Neuroinformatics Assembly 2023!📢
Want to speak in our investigator-led talks on FAIR neuroscience? We're calling for abstracts! 🧠
📅 Abstract deadline: Jun 23
Submit your abstract today: bit.ly/INCFAssembly2023ILPA#FAIR#neuroscience#OpenScience
We do! We are planning an open repository leveraging @OpenNeuroOrg BrainBox and @datalad so that the community can also provide their own updates/comments and parcellations as well.
We are in the process of reviews and will start posting once reviews have been completed
