ARK @ArkEcosystem just released their new public testnet for the brand new $ARK codebase called Mainsail and it's up and running LIVE right now. Here is a quick TLDR of what's being shown right now for those interested but haven't followed close enough lately. - Username integrations, like ENS for .eth names, just without the need for an extension. - Instant Block Finality, a custom 2 stage BFT consensus mechanism. (This is a huge deal for what's to come and what has stifled development in the past) - Validators to 53 total, increasing the amount of validators from 51 to 53 to create a prime number and eliminate a 3-way network split possibility. This is just the beginning of what's being shown in the public testnet right now. We know that an ARK EVM is already being tested in the teams private testnet and it could hit public testing soon. There is also parallel work on their new web3 wallet called ARK Connect which is live for testing now as well.
