It’s ridiculous carers don’t get support but get a week. It feels as silly as clapping for NHS workers during lockdown and then not supporting them. Unpaid carers keep the system from collapsing. They deserve so much better

Men must not look at their phones while inside unisex changing rooms, apparently. Is there any actual evidence this man did anything wrong? And were the police called? Voyeurism is a criminal offence. On the subject of criminal offences: whoever filmed this man is a voyeur, not a "victim".

Community note
Taking and posting photos of someone in the changing room is unlawful. There is no evidence the individual shown committed a crime, but this behavior from the alleged victim and OP is illegal regardless, and may break TOS. institute-of-photography.com/your-legal-rig…

youtube.com/watch?v=yW7D-Koh… This is a fabulous video by @MaxFRobespierre , He really encapsulates the anger and exasperation felt by me and so many other disabled people who have to constantly endure the lies and being spread about us. I've been talking about these issues on here a lot recently, mainly in an effort to try and educate people about the reality of what it's like to live with a disability, and have to rely on other people to do some of the most basic daily tasks for me. The thing that really enrages me about people like Pat McFadden is that while Labour were in opposition, they really tried to show that they understood our objective reality that nobody chooses to be in our position and yet, when they entered government, not only did they do a complete 180, it was worse than that, they started echoing some of the right wing talking points and promising to implement reforms that were the brainchild of the Tory party, which, while in opposition, Labour said they wouldn't carry on with because they wouldn't be good for disabled people. They were right then, so I don't understand why they are seemingly, at least tacitly embracing tired and true talking points now. It's seriously draining, having to continue to highlight this in an almost daily basis at the moment, but it is heartening to have allies like Max helping us to get the truth out there. Thank you my friend.

I am really, really upset. Just went to my local M&S and asked where the GC-free fitting room was, and they don't have one! Just cubicles! How do I know when I am trying on an outfit that there won't be a GC waiting outside, demanding to look down my bra to make sure I have real boobs? I am going to write a complaint...

Hate it when people think a piece of research is somehow better evidence than decades of collective lived experience. I find it so erasing and condescending.

One of the screening questions for alcohol addiction is: do you ever get annoyed when someone’s questions your alcohol usage. I think Westminster has collectively triggered this warning and should reflect on its relationship to alcohol.

This proposal from the Tony Blair Institute shows a complete misunderstanding of both mental health & the benefits system. Declaring some conditions 'non work-limiting' is a discriminatory & simplistic response to a hugely complex challenge 1/4 telegraph.co.uk/business/202…

Think tanks don't think. They want to decide which conditions, illnesses and disabilities are legitimate and which are not without reference to any clinical, social or patient data and experience

I love when people fall out laughing. I love how much we can’t control ourselves in this moment. It’s one of my favorite feelings. Re-telling this story would not do it justice. This is really a "You had to be there" moment. Lol

Do you barge into pubs yelling “behold peasants, we are adult human females come to regale you with our gender critical views”?
I was almost refused service at a pub last night due to my gender critical views. My friends @theasewell05, @OctaviaEvans_ and I had to explain why this would be unlawful. I'm glad the staff eventually understood and apologised. We ended up having very interesting and civilised discussions about the rights of women and LGB people.

*Caution claimants* Social media is public and DWP (and hostile media & far right entities) can and will search it if they investigate you. Do not put anything on social media that could be used against you by hostile elements.

Labour say cutting sickness, and disability support in Universal Credit, from £429.80 to £217.26 per month, will get disabled to work A million disabled people were sanctioned by the DWP from 2010 -2018 53% more likely to be sanctioned if disabled National Audit Office 2016, said there was no evidence, sanctioning disabled made them work But suicides were linked to sanctioning #labour #mentalhealth #UniversalCredit theguardian.com/society/2018…

Solidarity with doctors on strike today. They’re not asking for a pay rise. They’re asking for pay restoration after a decade of cuts. The government’s response? Take away vital training jobs, harming us all. Hardworking NHS staff will always have my full support!
