For 3 years I've worked towards one health goal. Today I hit it. I've lost 65 lbs and rebuilt my health. Journey isn't over, but a big milestone.

LLM word choices remind me of my days as a 7th grade english teacher. Just using random fancy words in the midst of blah writing to trick me into thinking its a good writer

this thread with @DavidGQuaid has me legitimately confused on many levels. I am sure he is a wonderful person and he is just looking out for the good of the SEO community. However, not sure where what I am saying is wrong

I've been doing this for 20 years :) and started filing Recon Requests 12 years ago and haven't had any since because we don't ever buy links or scale content.

While everyone else is writing update posts, I am going to write something detailed this weekend on what we know.. the updated spam policy, manual actions, how basically any scaled SEO focused content (human, AI) is now on par with linkbuilding (1/3)

By that I mean, Google is now saying if you just create content for search at scale and not users, then its against policy. I think there are still ways to use AI that fit policy. I think there are ways to go full human writing that are against (2/3)

And honestly , that's been true since Panda. I think there is a lot to discuss, but a lot of SEOs have just parsed this concept down into a basic concept i.e. AI is bad. (3/3)

I think its safe if everyone chills out and just waits for the update to fully roll to start guessing whats what

hit an SEO gurus X profile to check them out ... they must post 100 times a day ... the same 2 ideas repeated over and over

speculation: another thing to consider about the manual actions... G might use a signal like Panda with external links to pages to account for "quality." Also internal link count, ie. how easy can user get to the page, how shallow in IA (1/2)

those metrics would also target a lot of sites with human created content , but that don't have the branding to pull links deep. The navigation/IA is just a good indicator it potentially exists for search only (2/2)

Let me also be clear: 1. I really like GenAI. I work with it everyday and built it into processes software we use. 2. I feel really bad for companies who built AI based writing systems. They already had a tough time post chatGPT release I would guess. (1/2)

This is going to hurt those companies. I have been there as well over the last 12 months with the economy and AI taking an overall toll on the market. Having your entire model disrupted by one decision is brutal.
