When I was 5, we immigrated to the US & slept on the floor of my uncle's 1br apartment for two years. When I was 10, we moved to a poultry farm in rural Maryland. I spent my evenings and weekends working on the farm. My childhood led me to dedicate my career to AI. Here's why:

NEW: Inside the 24-hrs before WH slapped export controls on Anthropic - Last Thursday, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy raised concerns about Fable jailbreak to Trump admin - Friday AM, Sean Cairncross, Bessent, Susie etc. held WH call to discuss - Then White House started reaching out to Anthropic to speak with Dario Amodei, who was at a wellness retreat. - When Amodei was finally available past 1pm, he had three tense phone calls with a combo of ppl including Cairncross, Bessent, Lutnick, Kessler, Will Scharf, Richard Walters, and Walker Barrett. -Amodei tried to clear up what he assumed was a misunderstanding. He defended the guardrails and distinguished between universal and non-universal jailbreak - Cairncross and Bessent were unmoved and asked Amodei to take down Fable and work with the admin to fix the vulnerabilities. (A WH official said Amazon’s findings were run past the NSA and they felt they had “proof.”) - Amodei asked for more time and info, but he made no commitments to pull the model - Bessent told Amodei directly at one point that he was making a “bad decision” - By Friday evening, the Trump admin imposed its export controls. - “Export controls were a last resort after begging them for hours to work with us,” senior WH official said. The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Claude Fable 5 is here. New model generation, new way of working. Here's how to get started in Claude Code and on the Claude Platform: 🧵
Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use. Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.

I asked Codex to create a new @aiready_so design system file in @paper and @figma - pulling from our codebase, using their MCPs. There is a clear winner, and it's not even close...

I asked Codex "which one was more token-efficient to work with?" and here's what it responded with: tl;dr: Figma used 2.5-3x more tokens, and did a worse job!

I haven't tested this in Claude Code or Cursor — mainly because Codex is my daily driver nowadays. And I only just started using Paper. But this result was enough to convince me to shift my UI prototyping workflows over to @paper (for now).

Lol this could be a picture from the village where I was born in northern Pakistan. They call it “bhang” there. Usually crushed into a paste with a mortar and pestle - used as medicine or mixed into lassi (as a coolant in the hot summers).

I’ve built and rebuilt Skills 1,000 times across companies I’m involved in. I’ve also helped 50 friends build them for internal workflows and public use. The biggest lesson: Your company already has Skills. They are sitting in old docs, Slack threads, customer calls, review rituals, onboarding notes, and the heads of the people who know how the work really gets done. The method is hidden in the work. A Skill makes it reusable. This is the first article from what I’ve learned building Skills in the wild.
