President Trump today declared war on the First Amendment and journalism organizations that report negatively about him. He decreed they and their reporting are "illegal." And he did it in a speech to officials at DOJ — you know, people who prosecute crimes. This is fascism.

If The New York Times got its hands on leaked audio recordings from the Situation Room, then we have a massive national security crisis on our hands. That very likely means our enemies know everything that’s been said in that room, at least since Trump took over. This should be a massive scandal.

SCOOP: Top White House officials believe NYT reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan obtained audio recordings of Situation Room meetings for their new book. Such a taped leak would be a shocking breach of one of the most secure settings on Earth. axios.com/2026/06/14/trump-s…

Good news…The “agreement now in place” provides for “pre-implementation discussions…” which “will lay the foundation for the technical talks” before a meeting on Friday where an agreement may be signed!!
Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland. We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. I would also especially thank the visionary leadership of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Republic of Türkiye for their immense contributions in this regard. With the agreement now in place, mediators will facilitate a series of meetings this week. These pre-implementation discussions will lay the foundation for the technical talks and the official signing ceremony. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SteveWitkoff @SEPeaceMissions @drpezeshkian @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi

So how much did it cost the United States to get a "Memorandum of Understanding" to work towards an actual deal that includes keeping the Strait of Hormuz open, which was open before Trump started this war, and to have Iran agree to not work on a nuclear weapon, which they already were not doing, and was part of the original nuclear agreement that Trump tore up to create this mess?

The reported details of this Iran deal are so insulting to the 13 U.S. servicemen and women who died. We’ve accomplished nothing. Iran is reopening the Strait of Hormuz, not giving up its uranium, and Trump is going to give them $25 billion. That’s way worse than the deal Obama negotiated.

Okay, I'm gonna be honest. This gay club looks fabulous. They've got everything. Sweaty men wrestling, guys on motorcycles in leather jackets, gold everywhere, and the Village People performing.

Utterly appalling. Trump may have won in court, but we have to make sure he loses in the court of public opinion.
Trump used the Armed Forces Full Honor Cordon — soldiers who escort fallen heroes and heads of state — to usher UFC fighters past Abraham Lincoln’s statue like they’re celebrities on a red carpet. I am LIVID. And everyone else should be too.

Posobiec’s line — “The left has no response to this” — is itself part of the propaganda mechanism. It is not an argument. It is a dominance cue. The message is: We have spectacle. We have the White House. We have flags, motorcycles, military-adjacent staging, masculine risk, and executive permission. Therefore we win. That is why he says “the left has no response.” He is not claiming the left has no policy response. He is claiming that liberal-democratic politics cannot compete emotionally with imperial entertainment. And in one sense, he is identifying the problem correctly: bureaucratic liberalism often has trouble responding to spectacle because spectacle bypasses reason. You cannot fact-check a motorcycle jump. You cannot rebut an adrenaline ritual with a white paper. The image is designed to make criticism look weak, joyless, foreign, feminine, bureaucratic, or anti-American. This is what a declining republic looks like when it mistakes spectacle for strength. The White House is not supposed to be a Nitro Circus backdrop. It is the People’s House. Turning it into stunt-show propaganda, however, happened during Trump 1.0. It proves that Trumpism can only imagine power as branding, domination, and content.
The Left has no response to this

The @SFGiants have a long history of supporting our large & vibrant LGBTQ community, even when it hasn’t always been popular. It’s one of the many reasons I’m proud of the team. That storied history makes it even more troubling that the Giants are now accepting ads from Chick-fil-A — a virulently homophobic business — & disturbing that some players used last night’s Giants Pride Night as an opportunity to display a bible verse about rainbows that is frequently used by right wing Christians to “take back” the rainbow from LGBTQ people. Last night wasn’t just Pride Night. It was also the 10th anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub massacre, when 49 people were mass murdered. To be clear, these players could have cited the rainbow bible verse on any of the other 364 days of the year. Instead, they chose to cite it only on Pride Night & only in connection with the rainbow Giants logo celebrating our LGBTQ community. There’s only one explanation for that choice — a choice the Giants tolerated. It’s hard to envision the Giants tolerating this kind of behavior directed at any other community. The Giants can & must do better.
Three SF giants pitchers disgraced themselves at the team’s Pride Night, weaponing the Pride rainbow and attacking the LGBTQ community. outsports.com/2026/6/13/2413…

I want to give you guys some facts about General Chappie James. He wasn’t a “DEI” hire—he was a complete badass that had to overcome MORE than any white pilot. Did 178 combat missions—that’s like 7 bomber tours on a B-17 in WWII. His medal count? Impeccable. 3 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 14 Air Medals, Two Legions of Merit, and a Defense Distinguished Service Medal. One of the original Tuskegee Airmen, the first four-star African American General. Hegseth couldn’t sniff the level of soldiering and warrior that was in Chappie’s DNA. God bless him. And Hegseth took down his picture from a hallway like a racist little child, which is what he is.

We’ve had few military heroes greater than Chappie James. This is nothing more than rank racism, plain and simple, and utterly despicable and disgraceful to the Office this traitor holds.
Hegseth removed Chappie James's portrait from the Air Force Art Gallery and left the wall empty. James flew 179 combat missions across two wars. First Black four-star general in US military history. Curry passed that portrait every day for a decade. When it came down, he retired. The wall is still empty.

Putting an elephant into a convention hall like this is torturing it beyond the full comprehension of any human being, because we do not possess the sensory capabilities elephants do. Elephants have the strongest sense of smell in the animal kingdom. They can smell WATER from many miles away. Now imagine putting this poor elephant into an enclosed space with thousands of people, perfume, food, sweat, cleaning products, flooring, and equipment. This elephant was hit with a massive wall of biological information and sensory overload that we cannot begin to understand. Elephants also sense sound and vibration through their FEET, not just their ears. In the wild, they can communicate with each other from miles away just by sensing communication through their feet. Now imagine what that elephant is experiencing in a convention hall: thousands of human footsteps, sound systems, equipment, metal clanging, concrete, and more. A confusing hell. Finally, hard artificial surfaces, in this case the convention hall floor, are terrible for elephants.
The Texas GOP having an elephant at its convention means the Texas GOP enables animal abuse. And Governor @GregAbbott_TX’s name is on the banner, which also means he condones and enables the abuse of an elephant. It is scientifically and biologically impossible to have an elephant become controllable in this fashion without subjecting it to abuse. Elephants are not domesticated. In order to accomplish this sort of obedience, you have to break the elephant down. Absolutely horrific. And it is worth noting that Texas still doesn’t have a statewide ban on the use of bullhooks against elephants. x.com/serrano_alej/status/20…
