Wow, my timeline’s full of men questioning my academic credentials and telling me to shut up. Why do people feel the need to resort to ad hominem attacks? We should surely be able to engage in discussion and debate without throwing virtual vitriol over each other.

How many of you know what Cruella Braverman's Public Order Bill contains? It's frankly unbelievable: legislation you might expect in Russia, Iran or Egypt. Here's a summary from my column today:

Great opportunity to live and work in the famous historic book town. What’s not to like!
He so often seems to come out with whatever line seems to work at that moment. Even if it contradicts what he said before. And with little regard for the truth. So hardly a surprise that he does the exact same thing in Partygate. Was he there or not? Both, apparently.
Our laws need to be on the side of women and girls, not those who abuse and harass them. The House of Lords can act now by passing the Newlove amendment- show your support by signing @nazirafzal's letter here 👇 forms.gle/Kyy4a9qAgMC2TTuS8

We're not consultants. We're a digital platform. Our entire aim is to empower YOU to take control of your own DE&I journey. Our platform is all you need to surface your gaps (there is no stone left unturned) & all the training to close them. Best of all it's all online. Bliss!

Now that Ghislaine Maxwell has been found guilty of selling children for sexual abuse, don’t you think we should investigate whom she sold the children to? I don’t want to hear another word about how tragic her life is, only want to hear about the devastation caused to victims

I like this lots, thanks @Philippa_Perry. “Big talk” benefits from a similar approach. Challenge yourself to listen to, understand, & dig into why others hold, different perspectives from yours. There’s much to learn from these others - and maybe others might learn from you too

He’s really asking: I’m friendly, are you friendly? but thats too awkward to say so we say anything and to show you’re friendly say “yes, omicron seems much milder than delta, hopefully we won’t have to lockdown again”. You’ll agree with a part, focus on that.
