After enduring intestinal problems, possible cancer and surgery, Primrose has been adopted by Taylor (a vet tech). Primrose was discovered abandoned in the woods 4 months ago and now will get the continuing care & love she deserves! #caturday

A brief update on Primrose who was found abandoned far from civilization. She has gained weight from less than 3lbs to just over 4lbs. We are still trying to get her intestinal problems solved but thankfully she is gaining weight. She gets a bath nearly every day. @ReddogOHIO

A #Caturday story. Yesterday I received a call at the shelter from one of our County Road Commission employees. He was having lunch way out on a seasonal road when a young cat comes crawling out from a wood pile and goes to him.

The young cat was a cold, muddy, shivering mess with feces matted in her tail and extremely malnourished. Skin and bones. I warmed her up, she gave me a look of gratitude and she was placed in a warm carrier in the cab of our truck. Back at the shelter she

got a warm bath, deworming medicine, flea medicine and had the mats trimmed from her tail. I was concerned she wouldn’t make it through the night but she is starting to eat and is going to need another bath. “Primrose” is one of sweetest cats with crazy blue eyes.

I don’t normally tweet politically and this, to me is not political, it reeks of cruelty and pure laziness. We get calls every week from people wanting to surrender their animals because of various factors and she could have easily made that call. Instead, she decided it was 1)

easier to shoot the dog. We have many farms and ranches in our county and they show enough respect to the animal to call us. Sure we get frustrated when people surrender a dog or cat because it isn’t fitting their “lifestyle” but we will take it and we will find it 2)
