Back in the mid-80's, #Sierra On-line made a few animated Christmas cards that were distributed among employees, friends, and stores as a promotion tool. It was later made available as a download for Sierra fans too!

What would the holidays be without some "Xmas Lemmings"?๐ โ๏ธ
Released as a demo, these Xmas levels feature snowy landscapes, snowmen, festive lights, Christmas songs as background music and the Lemmings dressed in Santa hats and coats.

Jingle Disk ๐โ๏ธโ๏ธ
A holiday-themed budget title which came on a green or red floppy disk, played festive music and animations, and printed Christmas cards. One of my favorites I load up every year.

Here's a Kmart newspaper ad from the 1982 holiday season, featuring the Atari. My first gaming experiences were on that system, though I was too young to do much more than wander aimlessly.
Merry Christmas โ๏ธ
Here is an excerpt from the Commodore Christmas demo, distributed to computer dealers to show off the capabilities of the #C64.
I had a copy of this way back and I find it so nostalgic.

Here's one of my most prized possessions:
My #1 favorite retro console of all-time, the Atari 2600.
One of the games I was most excited for was Missile Command; I was a huge fan of the arcade game. I was thrilled when I found out I could play it at home!

Game box art was so much better in the '80s (Part 12)
Been posting some #C64 Taito classics this past week, creator of some of the best arcade-style games.
Bubble Bobble is one of my favorite covers; and I love the Qix design! Looks great to my eye.

Rainbow Islands ๐๏ธ
While the Amiga and Atari ST home version of Taito's Rainbow Islands were superior, the #C64 version is pretty impressive all things considered.
Colorful graphics, tight controls, excellent music.

Arkanoid II: Revenge of DOH โ๏ธ
The sequel to the popular Arkanoid came to the #C64 in 1988, published by Imagine in the UK and Taito in America, with lots of new levels and power-ups.
A good conversion, but only if it had paddle support!
