Let’s double the @NIH budget! New treatments and cures for dread diseases! Let’s go! Who hates cancer? Who hates diabetes? Who hates strokes? I know I do and I bet you do too. Let’s make it a priority today and gift ourselves with better health tomorrow.

Glad to hear this good outcome.
I got COVID19 a few weeks ago and based on the clinical trial data in support of metformin being able to lower the risk of long COVID, I decided to take a 2-week course. My COVID symptoms improved rapidly & 🤞 long COVID risk should be about 41% reduced… thelancet.com/journals/lanin…

So proud of Louis, both his accomplishments and his presence. Reading the interview reminds me what an honor and privilege it is to mentor young people in their journey of becoming.
Pathway to Independence – an interview with Louis Prahl Read this interview with @lsprahl, one of our Pathway to Independence Programme fellows, about his physics and bioengineering background, his research interests, and his future plans as a PI: journals.biologists.com/dev/…

Nice try Ingraham.

Kind of a strange feeling testing positive for Covid and taking metformin (cost $0.67) based on the results of the covidout trial that our mathematical modeling helped launch.

I had a great time doing an escape room puzzle with my lab group today. Completed with 6 seconds to spare!
Today, we had an amazing happy hour event at PuzzleWorks escape room. It was a blast, especially when we were able to solve the puzzle together in the very last minute. We all hope that our academic challenges won't be as tricky as that puzzle :)
