ALT The COVID-19 pandemic has inflicted pain on millions of families across the country. My thoughts are with the President, First Lady, White House staff, & anyone else who may have come into contact with the President, & I wish them all a quick & safe recovery. My thoughts are also with millions of other Americans who have survived COVID-19 or are still sick. With the more than 200k Americans that we’ve lost, including a disproportionate number in Black & Brown communities. With the millions of Americans who can’t get the help they need & who worry about how they’ll pay their bills. With the millions who are up late at night worrying about their babies in daycare or their kids virtually learning at the kitchen table. This is a dangerous moment for parents, for essential workers, for educators, for everyone. We need a government that is on their side & fighting for them.
