Two different bball tournaments this weekend. Adults cost $10, kids $5 at each tournament each day. Would cost me $70 Friday, $70 Saturday, and $70 Sunday to have the family there to cheer for each other. $210 in a weekend. That’s maybe just fine and dandy if it’s a couple times per year, but the problem is it’s 40 times per year. This is on top of paying some $15,000 per year to get 4 kids on teams year round. Youth sports are broken.
