Remarkable images from @sentinel_hub @CopernicusEU of the extent of the wildfires raging in southern Portugal. Over 27,000 hectares now burnt

Definitive signs that normal British summer weather has returned; - it’s rained continuously for more than 10 mins 🌧 - there are puddles💦 - you’re wearing a jacket🧥 - you’ve got an umbrella up ☔️ - you’ve walked to work without breaking into a sweat 😰

Can anyone help in locating where these images were taken. Found in a old suitcase stuffed with negatives, which were transferred to Watford when the Surrey Advertiser archive moved. From other images found it may be somewhere on the English South Coast. Any Thoughts?

I have personally written firmware for actual voting machines and I endorse these sentiments 100 fucking percent. Paper ballots and scrutineers eyes are the only way to prevent shifty fuckery and even then we need to be vigilant.

Doncha just love it when a tweet pops up at 22:00 and you know it's a scheduled one...
All today's clothes went straight in the washing machine when I got home. While since that's happened.

I think maybe life was easier before the bagging area (and its rules and protocols) was invented.

For fear of sounding like the grumpy old man I am, you kids don’t know you are born! Cross browser testing is a piece of cake compared to when I used to code for a living. It just works! Glorious.

Blowing my mind that some people can't grasp this. This isn't a debate about whether the niqab is or isn't a religious item or if it should or shouldnt be banned. This is about a senior politician, who wants to be PM, mocking those who wear it and stirring up racial tensions.

.@AntCoulls and I will attempt - between our many years of friendship, love of railways and giggling desire to trainsplain - why thousands of people volunteer at, visit and watch heritage railways each weekend. I can’t wait. I hope you can join us: 11:30am m.facebook.com/nationalrailw…
