We are saddened by the news of two bicyclist deaths yesterday on Rickenbacker Causeway. We continue to work every day to make our city the safest, most comfortable, and accessible for people of all ages/abilities to walk, bike & roll. We advocate the same countywide. #visionzero

Being able to make quick and consistent improvements to our streets for bicyclist and pedestrian safety is absolutely imperative. It should be the norm. Unfortunately, projects are often conceived as one-off responses to tragedies like this. A tragic day in my city.

We are told this fatal crash was a bicyclist killed by right turning truck driver.
This horrific news shakes us to the core. The entrance to the Venetian @ Purdy Ave is one of most highly traveled bike routes on Miami Beach. There is room to protect intersection. Must be done!

I love to hear that @MayorDaniella is committed to finding a way forward for permitting pandemic closures like Fuller St in Coconut Grove. Leaving this closed is a no-brainer, and would be a great first step is learning from what worked during periods of crisis!
