Yesterday South Africa went from 11 men to 10 after a blatant denial of a goal-scoring opportunity. Then to 9 men after another act of indiscipline.
Coaches donโt commit red cards.
Coaches donโt swing arms into opponentsโ faces.
Coaches donโt lose defensive duels on the pitch.
Players do.
South African football has spent decades changing coaches while avoiding the harder conversation: accountability from players. You cannot coach discipline into players who repeatedly abandon it in the biggest moments.

Crazy that there are 52 people in the Bok squad and there are another 12 Bulls players that walk into it too. And none of them - with the potential exception of a handful of juniors - would look out of place at international level if they were to start tomorrow. Depth forever.
