This was my last day in my primary care clinic of 6 years. Such a mix of feelings as I said goodbye to patients. I found myself expressing things that I wished I had said earlier, like “I am so proud of the progress you’ve made in [insert any number of areas]!” 1/5

Cautiously returning to Twitter 😉. So excited for the year ahead after a board meeting of @csam_connect! Hoping to share more about health policy and addiction medicine in 2024.

I will know that the grift is out of Medicare Advantage when I stop getting spam texts asking me to sign up for them. My name isn’t Reina, but I hope she’s not responding to you, either.

A comparison of the Kitara photo and political headshot of George Santos is striking… What similarities do you see?

Good news for the New Year. Thank goodness these scientists were able to produce and trial this medication, an effort that may have been squashed by intellectual property/patent laws by no stretch of the imagination.

It's unfortunate to see some of the most respected venues in journalism taking this turn—exceptionalizing individuals and groups who advocate for greater public health protections and portraying them as deviant, immature, countercultural, Marxists, etc. 1/ newyorker.com/news/annals-of…

A patient who is very deft with portal messaging dropped off a handwritten thank you letter (?!). In my mind, I like to think that he knew how much the inbox burden of primary care is soul-crushing…and my sworn enemy 😂. 4/5

More than anything, I left more confident than ever that primary care and longitudinal relationships matter in ways that the health care system doesn’t—and may never—recognize. I will carry these memories with me forever ❤️. 5/5
