Throughout your hectic night call, you relished returning home to your cozy bed. When you finally returned, you were welcomed with a high-pitched cry that was supposed to be someone 'laughing'.
You ignored it, took a shower, and by the time you settled in to sleep, it became unbearable.
"Please, can you reduce your voice?" You pleaded, hoping you could get some shut-eye.
There was a bit of silence, and you heaved a sigh of relief.
"Can you believe she doesn't like hearing me laugh? She doesn't want me to be happy?" You heard her scoff into the phone.
