World central banks are incredibly bullish on gold: 45% of central banks said they plan to buy gold over the next 12 months, the highest reading on record, according to the World Gold Council survey of 74 central banks. This percentage has more than doubled since 2020 and marks the 3rd consecutive annual increase. Emerging market and developing economy central banks led the increase, with a record ~53% of this group planning to add gold, up from 48% last year. Overall, 89% of central banks expect global gold reserves to increase over the next 12 months, the 2nd-highest reading on record. Central banks are buying the gold dip.

Must say was quite impressed with the Saudis yesterday to hold up Uruguay, even led the game. Send the Spanish home and you'll have represented Asia quite well lol. Path forward for the Kingdom looks bright to home 2034 World Cup and the gap between the Asian Big 3 is closing.

The Saudis did beat Messi's Argentina 4 years ago so no surprises here. Strong, well funded and talented domestic league. Also true passion among locals, no imports. Good stuff!

The Champions of Africa play tomorrow against the hyped French. Senegal should give the French another wonderful West African welcome party like 2002 and the Ivory Coast a few days ago.

Our continent has been disrespected for far too long in the beautiful game. Absolutely, the cross cultural and people to people ties are huge with Mexico that's why regardless of inter federation CONCACAF rivalries we wish the best to El Tri till they play us in the final. 🇲🇽🇺🇸

And for laughs and giggles if the Canadians can get out of their group another major plus for CONCACAF. But the big dogs will be your lovely neighbors to the South.

The Saudi-Uruguay 1-1 draw is very bad news for Spanish football fans after the Cape Verde draw today. Spain now sit at the shared bottom of the group and another draw or loss against either Uruguay or KSA and they take an early flight back to Madrid lol.

If you're either KSA or Uruguay you'll believe in taking out the Spanish after today as well. Both teams looked a lot more quality despite the hyped up rank of Spain.

If Spain finish 3rd in the group they will be heavily dependent on other permutations to see a path into the last 32. Without 2 straight wins which look unlikely, its all over for the champions of Europe.
