No actor has ever successfully done a Southern accent. Not a single one. I swear they have invented an entirely new dialect that no human being has ever spoken on earth. As someone who was born and raised in the deep south, I literally cringe when I hear it, and I immediately stop watching. We feel it in our BONES. Something about it is deeply personal and I can't fully explain why.

Lo que acaba de pasar con la pausa de hidratación después del gol de Curazao es exactamente el motivo por el que estoy tan en contra.
Alemania había quedado tocada, Curazao se le venía arriba a puro envión anímico y, de golpe, te frenan el partido, enfrían todo y lo reinician como si nada.

They aren’t even hiding what these hydration breaks are about. It’s 75 degrees under a roof at SoFi, the announcer says “that’s the end of the first quarter,” and then it’s straight to commercials. The game is gone.

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: During Mexico vs South Africa, the referee had to keep the players waiting during the cooling break because FOX was still on a commercial break.
The match eventually resumed while FOX was still showing advertisements.
These cooling breaks are not related to player health, but are instead used to accommodate commercials.
