And here are those results; pleural procedures, including thoracentesis, chest drain insertion, LAT generated fewer aerosols than normal breathing. Total aerosol levels similar to background levels. Time to ditch full PPE for pleural procedures? #PRD2021 @UKPleura

We have known for many years that neutrophils are central to the pathophysiology of bronchiectasis, and neutrophil elastase predict worse outcomes. This trial shows for the first time that directly targeting inflammation may be a beneficial approach for bronchiectasis @nejm
