Congrats to the team on our latest article: “Pleural Infection in Adults: Integrating Medical and Surgical Management for Optimal Outcomes” A fantastic international collaboration between @Unispital_USZ @UniofOxford and @UniTrieste thank you to all contributors: Malvika Bhatnagar, Gian-Marco Monsch, Stefano Kette, @UszDidi @naj_rahman @eihab_bedawi Pleural infection remains a major global challenge. Outcomes depend heavily on timing, coordination, and interdisciplinary care. 🔑 Key takeaways: ✅ Delays in diagnosis & escalation worsen outcomes ✅ Reassess early — failure often evident within 48-72h ✅ tPA/DNase ≠ substitute for surgery in advanced disease ✅ Early surgical referral improves outcomes ✅ Close physician–surgeon collaboration is essential 📄Read more: Pleural Infection in Adults: Integrating Medical and Surgical Management for Optimal Outcomes - ScienceDirect

Are we ready for deintensification adjuvant IO in early-stage 🫁? In the future molecular and pathological parameters will guide our decisions? For pCR after induction CTIO we can discuss surveillance and in no-pCR probably continuing the same IO not the besst approach #ELCC26

Lung cancer is the biggest cancer killer of women in Europe yet it is rarely recognised as a women’s health issue. More women are being diagnosed across Europe, & in some countries deaths are still rising. Where you live, your income, and access to care can affect outcomes. When we talk about women’s health, #lungcancer must be part of the conversation. Women deserve better awareness, earlier diagnosis, & fair access to treatment. #InternationalWomensDay
