Programmers prioritize the feeling of productivity over productivity itself. They prefer to rewrite a codebase with tools they are comfortable with (thus, feelings) even if ROI is years away, instead of e.g. fixing a bug (actual productivity).

1. Don't CQRS 2. Not as a top-level architecture 3. Not until you've task-oriented your UI 4. Not until you've separate private data flows from public And if the new project is truly greenfield, definitely don't CQRS, as you probably won't be able to address 2-4.

If WASM WASI existed in 2008, we wouldn't have needed to created Docker. That's how important it is. Webassembly on the server is the future of computing. A standardized system interface was the missing link. Let's hope WASI is up to the task!

Hashicorp’s IPO will be another great outcome for… the European tech scene. Yes, that one. Hashicorp hired engineers in the UK, Netherlands and Germany, issuing generous stock packages. Which stock will turn liquid, and we might see some EU startups off the back of this exit.

Definitivamente Safari es el nuevo Internet Explorer. Todo el día perdido haciendo fixes de lo que muy probablemente son bugs del propio navegador.

Convince me that Safari is not the new IE. The fact that Apple makes such epicly good hardware and epicly stupid browser engine policies (not allowing browser engines other than webkit) remains the single biggest threat to the web as a universal app platform.

Getting iOS Safari to not scroll to focused inputs is tricky, but it's possible for the determined. All you have to do is: 1. Get MBA. 2. Become CEO of Zillow. 3. Run Zillow into the ground and transfer zillow.com domain name to your website.

Today while I was sifting through MDN documentation I found out that they offer a front-end web developer course for free. Share it as much as possible so more people in the beginning of their learning journey know its existence. mzl.la/2UXOifG #Frontend #webdeveloper
