Canada can't afford more supply chain disruptions.
70% of Canadian grain is exported, when rail and ports stop moving, farmers pay the price immediately and permanently. Canada needs a modernized labour framework for trade-enabling sectors.

Grain farmers on both sides of the border depend on a stable, predictable North American trading framework. GGC is proud to stand with @AgForUSMCA in support of #USMCA/#CUSMA renewal. #cdnag
Great to meet with @AgforUSMCA, bringing together Canadian and American farm and agri-food groups united in support of #USMCA/#CUSMA renewal. A strong reminder that a stable, predictable North American trading framework is a shared priority on both sides of the border.
GGC has joined more than 160 agricultural organizations from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico in calling on governments to protect and strengthen CUSMA ahead of the July 1 joint review. Canada's grain sector must be front of mind.

GGC welcomes Government of Canada's decision and commends governments @YourAlberta and @SKGov for securing emergency use authorization for strychnine.
While this is a meaningful step forward, GGC will continue working to advance permanent access.

This decision to allow temporary emergency registration of Strychnine is great news for Alberta farmers. We greatly appreciate Minister @RjSigurdson and his team for their advocacy and efforts toward this outcome.

🚨BREAKING:
This is incredible news for producers across the Prairies.
After strong advocacy from industry, along with Alberta and Saskatchewan working collaboratively to stress the immediate need for emergency use of strychnine, I’m glad to see the PMRA has reversed its decision on our submission.
This is a huge win for our agriculture industry, ensuring our producers have the tools they need to better manage their operations and continue providing high quality products.
