It's been an unbelievable experience writing my first @CiscoPress book with @John_Capobianco. I hope this book not only helps network engineers learn about #pyATS, but showcases how network testing can be a great start to their network automation journey. Network testing is often overlooked, but provides such a great value with low impact risk to the network! Thank you to everyone that has helped me during the writing process. I couldn't have done it without the great people at @pearson, especially @nancydavis! And yes, the coffee (and lemonade) flight was great! 😁

After not receiving a raise in the four years I’ve worked at BHIS they’ve now decided to reduce my pay by $40k after coming back from maternity leave and moving my role to solely pentesting. So I am looking for a new position effective immediately if anyone has any leads 😇

Thought of the day: Will human-written emails be considered “personal” in the future, much like how handwritten letters in the mail are today? Will “human-written” become a frequent adjective and/or disclaimer?

FYI - If you're running Cisco IOS XE 17.7.1 or later, you can translate IOS command outputs to NETCONF-XML or RESTCONF-JSON using the pipe keywords: | format netconf-xml and | format restconf-json, respectively. The only requirement is ensuring NETCONF-YANG is enabled.

Going to Cisco Live EMEA this week? Make sure to stop by the Cisco Store and find my book! Cisco pyATS is a testing framework that should be added to your network automation toolbox. If you find it, please share a picture! #CiscoLiveEMEA @CiscoInsider @CiscoLive

I enjoyed reading @mitchellh experience with using AI in his day-to-day work. I'm going to borrow his "end-of-day agents" approach, which can lead to positive progress for the following day. Great blog post! mitchellh.com/writing/my-ai-…

I've been trying to keep up with the OpenClaw and Moltbook situations and stumbled upon this great blog by @CiscoBlogs. Besides promoting their open-source skills scanner tool, it does a great job highlighting the security risks. blogs.cisco.com/ai/personal-…

Interesting research by Anthropic about how AI assistance impacts productivity and learning/development. I'm impressed, as an AI company, that they provided honest research and didn't just conclude "AI is the best and only path forward!" anthropic.com/research/AI-as…

Solid AutoCon 4 recap from @devnetdan. AI was everywhere, but one theme was clear: teams want help accelerating adoption, not replacing engineers. Ideas, MVPs, and dev all move faster when AI is paired with governance deterministic execution. 👉 bit.ly/49JTQOs

This is the first time I've heard of the router configuration checker (rcc) project, but it's crazy to see configuration parsing analysis is still top of mind 20 years later! I'm also going to check out their CAIP framework... practicespace.substack.com/p…

Took advantage of the Starlink offer of a free Starlink mini for longtime residential customers. I’ve been eyeing up the mini for awhile and couldn’t resist the promotion! Thanks again @Starlink! #starlink #internetanywhere
