U.S. military officials said the overnight strikes on Kharg Island targeted storage sites for missiles and mines, not oil. Sat imagery from today seems to square with at least part of that account; the oil depots don’t appear to be damaged.

Interestingly, some locations hit in the video shared by CENTCOM had already been damaged by March 11. It is unclear from the current sat imagery if those locations, which include an apparent communications tower, sustained additional damage.

The extent of the damage caused by the overnight strikes in these locations and others on the island (outlined in linked post) is not yet clear. Will be interesting to see once higher res sat imagery becomes available.

A US-made HIMARS launcher was filmed firing missiles at Iran from Bahrain. Most other Gulf states have denied that the US has launched attacks from its soil against Iran. Bahrain has remained silent on this question.

Ruben Ray Martinez, a 23-year old U.S. citizen, was shot by federal immigration agents on March 15, 2025 in South Padre Island, Texas.
Almost a year after the shooting, Texas Department of Public Safety released footage from surveillance cameras at two businesses and from the body cameras of five local and state officers. But the footage provides an incomplete view of what took place.
One body camera is missing the crucial eight seconds during which the shooting happened, another body camera had video and audio that were out of sync, and the surveillance footage from one business, which jumps forward in time sporadically, also skips the moment of the shooting.

In Apr ‘23, an AN/TPY-2 radar system was at or near the building Iran recently hit at Prince Sultan Air Base. But these systems are transportable; this one moved before a roof was built by May 25, ‘23. The system was not clearly present amongst the debris in sat imagery from Tues
