Our recent video investigation on Sudan now has Arabic subtitles. It charts a command structure for the opaque paramilitary group, the RSF, and links named commanders to some of the war's worst atrocities. Please share with Sudanese friends. youtube.com/watch?v=H231Ylst…

Drinking water installations are quintessentially “objects indispensable to survival,” a category with heightened protection in international law. Attacks directed against such installations are presumptively unlawful. This report strongly indicates precision strikes on two.
NEW: Our visual analysis suggests the United States hit two drinking-water facilities overnight in southern Iran with precision-guided munitions. Deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure could constitute a war crime. w/ @ckoettl @johnismay @ArtemisChats

White phosphorus is still falling on south Lebanon. A new @nytimes investigation by @sanjanamv, with verified footage as recent as May 30. It references the research database of 200 strikes I've been building since Oct 2023. nytimes.com/2026/06/06/world…

Great and tragic news at once. Emmanuel, the 5-year old featured in this report, has since recovered and left the Ebola ward, his father told me. But the lab technician I met in the next ward deteriorated and died last night. His name was Bienfaits. nytimes.com/video/world/afri…

The U.S. has killed more than 200 people in over 60 strikes on boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, claiming without evidence that the boats were engaged in narcotrafficking. Amanda Klasing (@AMKlasing) of @amnestyusa says these are extrajudicial killings that constitute murder. “U.S. taxpayers should be outraged, absolutely outraged, that their money is going to murder as a policy,” says Klasing.

The UAE, through it's arming of Sudan's RSF, is probably the most consequential foreign actor in a devastating war. Now activists are focusing on the UAE's sports sponsorship, calling on @NBA to suspend its brand deal with the country.
One of the @NBA's biggest sponsors is the #UAE. They also sponsor a genocidal militia in #Sudan. @NBA Make the right call. End the @emirates deal. bloodontheball.org/ #NBAPlayoffs #EmiratesNBACup #NBA

There are multiple reasons why Sudan is the world's worst human crisis today, multiple bad actors. But the UAE is one of the worst, with its support for the brutal RSF militia committing mass murder and mass rape. Pres. Trump, having taken $500m from the UAE, is silent about it.
Sudan has been ravaged by more than three years of a brutal civil war, where the UAE's role in supporting the RSF has been widely documented. Now, a new report by Human Rights Watch reveals just how far the UAE is willing to go to protect and further its own interests in Sudan.

Here are some of the investigations we referenced, without a paywall. On the school in Minab, that killed at least 120 children: nytimes.com/2026/03/05/world… nytimes.com/2026/03/08/world… nytimes.com/2026/03/11/us/po… nytimes.com/2026/03/09/world…

Important on-the-ground reporting by @DominicWaghorn and @skyzein who meet survivors and parents of children killed by the U.S. bombing of a school in Minab. Even with mounting evidence, the Pentagon has not admitted responsibility.
More than 150 people, including 120 children, were killed in Iran when an airstrike hit a school in Minab. Although a preliminary US military investigation determined Washington was responsible, the Trump administration is yet to formally accept responsibility. Sky's @DominicWaghorn is the first international journalist to visit Minab. Warning: contains distressing content.
Community note
Sky News was not the first international news team to report from the Minab school site; The Grayzone's Wyatt Reed visited and filmed on location weeks earlier. x.com/TheGrayzoneNew… x.com/wyattreed13/st…

Vital eye-witness journalism by @DominicWaghorn & @skyzein from the site of an Iranian primary school struck by US Tomahawk missiles on the first day of the war. Please take a moment to watch ⬇️

One of my favorite data journalists is @jburnmurdoch and he is cooking once again with this piece: “In country after country the birth rate plunged after the introduction of smartphones, no matter what the previous trend was…the modern digital media environment has had profound effects on society that have led to a decline in romantic coupling”.
