Yesterday we welcomed @UFEarthSystems Scientist in Every Florida School teachers to the @FloridaMuseum @KawaharaLab with some butterfly collecting and specimen pinning practice. Field work and collections help us understand the biodiversity around us and how it is changing.

6th Grd did so great today debating the likelihood of deposition & erosion in a meandering river as we covered Rock Cycle standards. Sediment composition & strength of the current were just some of the higher order questions they brought to the debate. Awesome! @HorizonAcadFL
