In today's boring suburban mom news: on a zoom conference which is amazing. One tiny problem: a few incredible speakers are from Australia. AND I JUST WANT TO INTERRUPT AND SAY BLUEY!!!!!!!!! So hard to not make a @OfficialBlueyTV reference.

Boring suburban mom win: my 1980s washer was dying so bought a new one (yes, privilege). I can now do the same amt of laundry in HALF THE LOADS. HALF!

As I sit in my basement doing library work in a career I love I am encouraged by this Daily podcast librarian and enraged by folks continuing to challenge books. We have a long way to go and im in awe of my colleagues doing the real work

The Wapo is killing its Sunday Magazine, which was my home for 20 years. It carried some great journalism over the years, winning 2 Pulitzers. All staffers --talents all -- were just ... fired. The termination notice was as cold as the surface of Uranus. washingtonpost.com/media/202…
