Thinking of #ToyStory5 delivers a pang of emotion and nostalgia, even a few weeks later. It's genuinely moving - millennials who grew up with this franchise, prepare to be ruined. Its power remains undimmed, and tackling tech makes perfect sense. Truly one of the best sequels.

Love being on the Lizzy Line after a late shift at work which, after struggling with signalling issues near West Ealing, just decides to skip every station after Hayes & Harlington and take everyone unwillingly to Maidenhead? Train-napped by @TfL 🫠

My review for @MetroUK @Metro_Ents of #WutheringHeights - I ate this up, I'm the target audience (no I'm not v attached to the novel). Emerald Fennell has a vision some will hate but I'm now obsessed with. Not perfect, but by God it's unapologetic metro.co.uk/2026/02/09/wuthe…

Oh #WutheringHeights is exactly what I asked it to be - bold, sensual and full of yearning. Some of Cathy and Heathcliff's toxicity has been smoothed out so it can wallow more in the love and romance that redeems them; it's a giddy and lush experience that made me feel 14 again.

Margot & Jacob's chemistry crackles, supported by Emerald Fennell's achingly emotional yet snappy adaptation of Emily Brontë's novel. There are some saucy scenes, but this isn't Saltburn 2.0 - the goal isn't to shock but to stir. This is exactly how you make this movie for 2026.

All the performances are top-notch, but especially those of Jacob and Alison Oliver. Casting has understandably ruffled feathers, but by God is he out to prove that he is Heathcliff (and brooding off the charts). I think book fans will be pleasantly surprised by this movie.

Fellow critics and (I may regret this) #Avatar super fans! Do you think the franchise has a future? Writing a piece this PM and would love a few quotes to include. Pls EMAIL me TODAY (07/01) - tori [dot] brazier @ metro [dot] co [dot] uk. (I likely won't see here) Thank you!

Excuse my language, but I just got out of the first screening of #28YearsLater: #TheBoneTemple - and holy f*****g s**t. This has cranked everything up to 11 and I warn you, you will need a very strong stomach (or a sick bag). Also, Ralph Fiennes is truly phenomenal.

Storylines dovetail, there are scenes that drew whoops and cheers from the audience - and every time I thought 'surely they won't show that', reader, they did. Many feelings to unpack still (& reviews embargoed til Jan 13), but I will riot if we don't get 28 Years Later Part 3!

Oh, and a final note - if you thought Jack O'Connell was a fabulous baddie in Sinners, wait until you properly meet fully-fledged Satanist Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal. Truly a cinematic villain for the ages.

WICKED: FOR GOOD is the tricky second act handled with aplomb by director Jon M. Chu. Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo continue to own, extend and BE Glinda & Elphaba. With weaker songs, the music is still mined for everything; For Good & No Good Deed are stand-outs #WickedForGood

But it's the acting that truly continues to impress, with more fleshing out for Glinda esp, to the extent that we may see v rare two-time nominations for playing the same role. The pacing is tight, Oz has never looked better and the ties with Dorothy's tale dovetail satisfyingly

While Jonathan Bailey's Fiyero doesn't get to shine as bright in Pt 2, despite his best efforts with a second-tier role, we’re only really interested in Elphaba and Glinda’s ‘I love you’. Wicked: For Good falls headfirst into its theatricality - and I don’t know a better way
