#ToyStory5 is beautiful, fantastic, heartwarming 🥹🥹🥹 I loved every second of this film and that it was Jessie focused!! I cried multiple times guys and PIXAR IS BACK!!!
#ToyStory5 proves there’s still plenty of life left in Pixar’s beloved franchise. By putting Jessie at the center of the story, the film finds a fresh perspective while staying true to the characters audiences have loved for decades.
The toys vs technology conflict could have easily been simplistic, but co-directors Andrew Stanton and McKenna Harris approach it with more nuance than expected. Exploring how modern childhood is changing without losing sight of the value of imagination and human connection.
There’s plenty of humor throughout, including some unexpectedly adult jokes courtesy of Conan O’Brien’s scene-stealing new character, Smarty Pants. At the same time, the film delivers the heart and emotion fans have come to expect from the series. While a few characters take more of a backseat this time around, Jessie’s larger role helps give this sequel a distinct identity. Reminding us why these characters continue to resonate generation after generation. And yes — you may want to keep some tissues nearby.
#ToyStory5 is a wonderful, touching, and incredibly relevant story that needed to be told.
Emotional to its core, the movie is filled with clever and hilarious jokes, and the complex, yet nuanced story puts the spotlight firmly on Jessie, which was absolutely the right choice.
#ToyStory5 is another brilliant entry in this series, doing a marvellous job of handling the multiple plot threads, further developing Jessie and Bonnie and addressing the pros and cons of our technological world.
And did it hit me emotionally, too? Yep!
#ToyStory5 is real delight. 4 still has the more emotional climax, but 5 has a better balance with its characters and ties really nice into Jessie's story in 2. Found another way to speak to the current generation of kids and make it hit just as hard for parents.
