President Trump,
Act today. Tomorrow is too late.
The people of Iran are now under the direct fire of the Islamic Republic regime. Shooting at protesters, street killings, and a complete blackout of communications have turned the country into a scene of naked repression. This is the moment for immediate, practical action just as you yourself have warned.
When a regime uses weapons of war against unarmed civilians, deterrence only means something when it is backed by real force. Words alone are no longer enough. Limited, precise, targeted strikes against the command centers of repression, the units doing the shooting, and the regime’s operational infrastructure could immediately halt the killing machine and save lives.
Such action would be:
•Humanitarian, because it prevents further bloodshed;
•Deterrent, because it makes the cost of shooting the people immediate and severe; and fully aligned with U.S. interests, because a regime that kills its own people is the same regime that threatens regional security, maritime shipping, and America’s allies.
You have said that if the regime massacres the people, the United States is “ready to act.” Now is the time to carry out that warning. A swift, precise, and decisive response can change the course of history.
Act today. Tomorrow is too late.
