//Breaking Character - Trans Rights
Often someone with my views and writing is seen as 'woke' and perhaps a marketing move. It's not.
I'm a man with autism that grew up in parts of the US, South America, Asia, Africa and Europe. Much of my personal development was built off the interactions with different cultures and individuals.
Most of whom I don't fully understand. Which comes with being both yourself and welcoming. The more you accept how different the world is... the less you'll need to 100% understand people to be a good person.
The trans community has a right to express themselves. Along with providing guidance in their media. They're part of a vastly unique world which is deeply rooted in human culture and history.
I don't 100% understand the trans community, but allowing them to tell stories would help me understand them. They have the right to tell their stories.
This sucks, because I’d love to watch more stories involving trans characters. This is admittedly a human aspect that’s buried too much, or perhaps not promoted enough in terms of media.
Both my personal and animated worlds should be filled with variety. Sometimes one world can teach me about the other in terms of inspiration, personal challenges and the ability to become more you.
