The National figure skating coach founded the Diversify Ice Fellowship and Foundation seven years ago to combat the racism and lack of diversity he saw first as a skater.

The founder of the Diversify Ice nonprofit, UD alumnus Joel Savary also coaches @HowardU's new team, which competed at the Blue Hen Ice Classic, a student-run figure skating tournament that brought 213 skaters from 21 universities to UD from Feb. 24-25.
