Tayeb Benabderrahmane, a French company director, has been at the center of a high-profile case involving Qatar. He was arrested by Qatari secret services in January 2020 without any legal basis and subjected to arbitrary detention, torture, and inhuman conditions for 307 days.
Benabderrahmane had previously worked with Qatari public institutions, helping mobilize French and international public opinion during the 2017 diplomatic crisis. He even led missions for Dr. Ali Al-Marri, Chairman of the Qatar Human Rights Committee, focusing on combating corruption in publicly funded institutions.
However, his detention and secret death sentence, handed down without his right to defense, have sparked international outrage. Recent revelations by a Qatari whistleblower have exposed falsified documents and forged signatures, revealing a corrupt system.
To raise awareness about this case and Qatar's judicial system, an event titled;
"Uncovering the Truth: Judicial Falsifications in Qatar" and "The Tayeb Benabderrahmane Case: A Call for Justice"
