Been awhile since I’ve been on here. New Org and my son Cooper has grown up. He’s now a soph and taller than me. Kept him out of showcases and PG events to just go and train. Pulled him out of last semester of 8th grade to train in the DR and travel our Org catching our pitchers.

Austin is a dude and very unique. My son Cooper loves catching him. Big time arm right here in the 28 class.
Thank you for the opportunity to tryout @AreaCodeBSB, @StanfordBSB for hosting, and Coop for the catch @dnacatching. It was an great experience just to be invited. @NorCalU1 @angryg12 @Rossystraining

Coop (2028) started his travels with me and you cannot replace these moments! Worked on creating a better loading pattern and rhythm. Was able to create repeatable actions and was hammering ball after ball. This was our high velo session with our AAA team.

One of the best human beings I’ve ever been around. Great mentor, coach and friend. He deeply cared for his players and staff at all times. The standard he held and the love he showed for the game of baseball was second to none. I will miss our talks and time together! #Dsquad

Public service announcement. The Keyhole Training glove by @ALLSTARSPORTS is not meant to be used like a normal glove and squeezed shut. It’s meant for pocket awareness with an open glove for timing finding the center of the net.

I got back into baseball 8 years ago for the purpose of impacting players with positivity. Along the way I found out that having an impact on them as men had a greater purpose in my life. This is an ex player, who is now coaching. Couldn’t be more proud of him!!!

If you’re a player that’s behind someone else, your talent is good but not good enough to start and want to find a path to continue to playing at a high level, here is some advice. Be “Elite” at the things that can’t be measured! Coaches will find a spot for you!

C’s often want to funnel their mitt up on a block leaving the 5 hole open. Cooper had this issue and talked about feeling the mitt below the chest protector and deep. Sandy Alomar Jr here talks about deep and the knees acting as side rails. Mitt out front you have no side rails.

RH sliders to your extension side when sitting middle. Pre pitch movement matches location and shape. Think more up than horizontal across the umpires eye line. Your posture and natural shoulder blade movement will gradually work ball back towards the plate. Wait w/ one movement.

If you have a catcher that struggles to receive pitches to his extension side, here are some things to consider (1.) Check his scapular abduction (Tightness causes reduced reach) (2.) Check T spine rotation (Needs >45 deg) (3.) Use LKD set up (provides greater ext side reach)

Unreal program and the best decision I made for my career out of HS. The tradition and baseball culture is special here!
Good luck to our Panthers in professional baseball!
