I recently had an insightful session with Dr. Marcus Ranney (@docmranney), a longevity expert, where we delved into an analysis of my actual age (72 years) versus my biological age (58 years). The results were fascinating and have reinforced some key lifestyle choices I've been making. The secret, as it turns out, lies in simple yet powerful habits. Eating right, with an emphasis on discipline and moderation, forms the cornerstone. An interesting tip I've adopted is to stop eating when I feel about 70% full, as it takes our brain nearly an hour to register fullness. Incorporating diverse exercise routines into my daily life has been transformative. From weight training and pilates to more lighter activities like yoga and swimming, each has its unique benefits. Playing golf has helped in both relaxation and physical activity. Meditation has been my anchor, offering mental clarity and peace. Perhaps most importantly, having a purpose in life keeps me motivated and driven. This combination of physical activity, mindful eating, mental wellness, and a sense of purpose isn't just about adding years to life, but life to years. #humanedge #longevity #healthandwellness
