It’s a shame that a video like this (more than three minutes long, with a huge amount of work behind it, and, I think, genuinely spectacular) ends up being largely ignored by the algorithm, while posts with no original content, or content copied from other platforms, rack up hundreds of thousands or even millions of views.
Looking at my own experience, it’s also striking that my viral posts have almost always been simple animations, not shorts or more ambitious projects.
Fortunately, I create these videos because I enjoy making them and because I believe they have artistic value. But in terms of audience, the return rarely matches the effort involved.
In fact, right after posting this video yesterday, I shared a simple 15-second animation and it ended up getting more impressions.
What do you think? Do you feel this platform really rewards long-form video content?
Can you imagine a hybrid between Mad Max: Fury Road and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers?
I used
@mitte_ai to bring that idea to life.
A dark fantasy battlefield filled with Uruk-hai, war drums, wargs, trolls and endless armies marching toward war.
And not a single moment to breathe.
Every shot was designed to feel like a medieval version of Fury Road.
