Official home of Doris Lessing centenary celebrations, including international conference & exhibition. Finalist for Outstanding Social & Cultural Impact Award
Incredibly saddened to hear of the death of @PatrickFrench authorised biographer of Doris Lessing who regularly visited her vast archive at UEA from 2015. Although unable to make @DorisLessing100 in 2019 his contribution was vital. It was a pleasure to work with him.

In this essay, I discuss Doris Lessing's 1950 novel 'The Grass is Singing' from the perspective of a Colombian immigrant.
This was a talk I gave at @DorisLessing100 in 2019.
I welcome your comments.

On 10/1 we welcomed local art teachers to the @dorislessing100 exhibition to consider the curatorial process in relation to a writer's life. It stimulated ideas for lesson plans & further links between the archive schools. Part of an INSET day @SainsburyCentre
Fantastic! Yes it is being shown just before the film itself. With an intro from @uealdc & recollections from some of those who witnessed auditions for extras @NorwichArtCentr. Hope you can make it!
There's a rare screening of @DorisLessing100 adap MEMOIRS OF A SURVIVOR (1981) in Norwich later this month. Just found my notes from almost 10 years ago, when I catalogued the @EAFilmArchive footage (presumably) being shown before the film.
Delighted to be selected as a finalist for this award and thanks to our partners @SainsburyCentre The Doris Lessing Society & @MillenniumLib for an excellent collaboration. If you haven’t encountered the exhibition - do head along before it closes 9/2.
