Tonight we are launching ten satellites, named after 10 outstanding women in STEM. In preparation for launch: meet the ladies, and take some time to learn about their lives and accomplishments. Tonight we'll place them among the stars. I think Vera would have liked that :)

On April 5, 1984, @Cal students Stephen Schoettler and Barrett Davis put a Mickey Mouse face and hands on the south side of the Campanile. One fell 40 feet to the ground in the process, fortunately suffering relatively minor injuries.

Unfortunately, general public happily sacrifices privacy in return for convenience. If we want to preserve privacy, it must be the default.
