We get it wrong in our work. It’s not high expectations for ALL. It’s high expectations for EACH. Not to where all should be, but from where each is. A long ago former student reminded me of this last night. Each can only learn from where they are. #Project180

Maybe instead of proficiency scales we should present support scales. "This is how I will support you." vs. "This is how I will grade you." The scale would define the teaching that supports the learning. We are supporters, not graders. Different has to be different.
