Let’s talk about something as basic as gloves. One of the culture shocks I had in Germany is that in every patient’s room kuna 3 boxes of gloves in different sizes. Sometimes the healthcare workers will change gloves upto 5x when dealing with a single patient. Saa hiyo the most common phrase you’ll hear in KNH is “unawaste gloves/something else” and usually, the one or 2 boxes rotating in a ward are in the custody of a nurse and you have to walk around to find them or ask to get a pair. Mind you we’re not talking about a specialized medical device. Basic gloves.
But apparently we’re capable of handling another country’s epidemic.

To those always pushing for transition from Bachelor of Clinical Medicine to MBChB, why don’t we first allow CO Anaesthetists to progress into Anaesthesiology? I honestly see much more similarity in their scope and daily practice. Food for thought!

Kili Family lost their son Rodney Kili 2 years ago through farm accident, yesterday they lost their daughter June Chebet Kili a student in Australia through cardiac arrest. My Condolences to the old man, their brother F Kili and the entire Kili Family. Mutyo missing.

The Bachelor of Clinical Medicine Graduates Association (BCMGA) has condemned the system and said a medical degree is not automatic proof of surgical competence.
BCMGA questioned why Medical Officers are allowed independent surgical practice without verified procedural competency, supervised sign-offs, or proof they can safely operate.
That statement painfully exposed the difference between titles and actual competence.

It's with a heavy heart that I come to say that the person who operated on that gentleman in Transnzoia is a medical doctor. I initially could not imagine that a trained medic could even do that,leave alone a medical doctor. After my investigations,I believe that either the gentleman is mentally sick or is just a cold blooded criminal. As such I demand that @KmpdcOfficial withdraws his license coz he is nolonger safe to practice medicine and @DCI_Kenya to take over the investigations and @ODPP_KE to prefer appropriate charges. As KMPDU we shall never defend our members when they endanger patient safety.
