Bidding farewell to his third child in around two months.. Aljazeera correspondent Wael al-Dahdouh lost his eldest son Hamza in an Israeli airstrike today.
In October, he lost his wife and 2 other children in the ongoing Israeli attacks.

There's no such thing as "non- medical consultants" delivering acute stroke care they're either medically qualified ( a medical degree and CCT in stroke medicine - 10 yrs training post qualification) or a danger to patients. Leave Cosplaying to cartoon characters / superheroes, not patients.

Sent to me, the answer to uncompetitive pay is not to recruit ‘non medical consultants’, it’s to pay fairly and competitively. If we allow this these people will eat our lunch (and breakfast and dinner). Join the BMA take action to defend pay.

I hope people’s takeaway message from recent medtwitter stories about mistakes, shortening medical school, and overall expertise is that medicine is quite difficult, actually. And we all should be campaigning for maximising training, not seeking the minimal viable product model.

This programme has been rejected by consultants committee and BMA council. It still rumbles on. If you want medicine more accessible then sort out finance properly for students, not make people be HCAs with a hope they'll be 'GPs in poor areas' due to gratitude. Stop the scheme.
