If there’s any justice, Starmer emerges from this nonsense as the nationally-respected leader he ought to have been considered as all along. If he goes, you impudent fools will damn sure miss him when he’s gone #StandwithStarmer #SteerCalmer with @Keir_Starmer
Keir Starmer’s going to Makerfield to campaign for Andy Burnham. The level of integrity & grace in Keir is truly humbling. He’s going to help the person who betrays & conspires against him, because he wants Labour as a team to do well, only proving why Keir is the rightful PM.

Gorgeous interview. I love that @Keir_Starmer is saying of course he'll campaign in Makerfield for @AndyBurnham. His courage, generosity and honesty are in stark contrast to Burnham's backstabbing and using Makerfield voters for his own ends. It's a smart move, too. People will meet Keir and realise what a nice guy he is. We could all go up to Makerfield and 'campaign' for Burnham, but on doorstep talk about Keir with unbounded enthusiasm!😎
"It's about the values that we take into politics, and it's really important that we all pull together and fight in that by-election, as we will do." Sir Keir Starmer wants the 'whole Labour movement' to be involved in the Makerfield by-election campaign trib.al/Pdq3eb9

Farage says his £5 million gift was a “reward” for Brexit. The rest of us were rewarded with higher bills and years of chaos. This grifter must not become prime minister.

Rayner has been cleared, but the media ran 30 front pages in total, averaging 4 front pages a day during the peak of the story. Farage's £5 million gift has had two front page stories. Why would there be such a difference in reporting standards for the two?

I welcome HMRC’s conclusion, which has cleared me of any wrongdoing. I have been exonerated by HMRC of the accusation that I deliberately sought to avoid tax. When purchasing a home of my own with a mortgage, I did not own any other property and had no personal financial interest in the court-instructed trust set up to manage my son’s financial award. I was advised by experts that I should pay stamp duty at the standard rate. I set out to pay the correct amount of tax. I took reasonable care and acted in good faith, based on the expert advice I received, and HMRC has accepted this. I have always sought to act with integrity, and I believe politicians should be held to high standards - that is why I resigned from government and cooperated fully with HMRC.  I wanted to ensure that I paid every penny that I owed, and have done so. I am relieved that my family can now move on - and that I can get on with my job.

The anmount of Tax avoided by Jim Ratcliffe's move to Monaco could pay for an extra 120,000 NHS nurses. It's not immigrants that are the problem. It's billionaires.

Manchester United part-owner has told @EdConwaySky the UK has been "colonised" by immigrants, who are draining resources from the state, as he warns of the country facing profound political, social and economic challenges. 🔗 trib.al/osc1ZDm
