Just seen this - unacceptable @MRCPUK that this error occurring in 2023 has (a) happened at all and (b) was only flagged up in 2025.
No wonder our trainees are in so much despair. This is a another kick in the teeth.
I hope the federation fix this shambles ASAP.

The idea that using the private sector adds genuine additional capacity to support the NHS is "utter nonsense" says our Director. The private sector is entirely reliant on NHS doctors to do any operations. Without them it would collapse overnight theguardian.com/society/2025…
