Apparently some people are finding an old version when they go to that link. I think it's due to browser cache issues but unfortunately clearing the browser cache has not worked for everyone. Here is a direct link to the current version: eecoppock.info/Invitation_to…... 1m

We are grateful to the students and teachers who have sent us feedback, especially Ede Zimmermann, who pointed out a technical error in the presupposition chapter, and David Beaver and Edgar Onea, who helped us solve it.

As an academic, I've spent the last decade feeling vaguely guilty for not using twitter more actively to engage with #academictwitter colleagues and promote my work. I guess this finally ends today!🙃

Do implicatures differ across languages and if so how? BU PhD student @DanielleMDionne and Asst. Prof. @drcopp have a new article out in @glossapsycholx showing how implicatures can depend on the lexicon. Available here: escholarship.org/uc/item/9gh…

Judgment please! Suppose I have a half-liter sample of red liquid and a quarter-liter sample of blue liquid. 1) The half-liter sample weighs 0.9 kilograms per liter 2) The half-liter sample weighs 0.9 grams per milliliter

24% 1 is good, 2 is weird
12% 2 is good, 1 is weird
