I've seen @ATJCagan’s great illustrations across twitter, but first time I’ve benefitted from this unique feedback - good test of whether intended key messages come across to a new audience. And a fun visual summary of my programme. Thanks to @wellcometrust & @ATJCagan.
Today we introduce a new drug candidate for prion disease: a PrP-lowering divalent siRNA. A 4-year collaboration with @RTI_UMassChan enabled by @NINDSfunding IGNITE & URGenT mechanisms. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Our hope is to advance this to the clinic, wish us luck!
We want to learn more about the genetics of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
Are you over 18, in the UK and interested in taking part in research?
Go to thehearthive.org to learn more about the Heart Hive Cardiomyopathy Study
#takotsubo#cardiomyopathy
Maybe everyone already knew about this, but the @AllofUsResearch results browser is up so you can look up your favorite genetic associations (I assume this is the browser @konradjk presented at #ASHG24 that is now ready?).

Automating AI research is exciting! But can LLMs actually produce novel, expert-level research ideas?
After a year-long study, we obtained the first statistically significant conclusion: LLM-generated ideas are more novel than ideas written by expert human researchers.
